“All the roads lead to Rome.”
Finally I`ve got my hands on the laptop to tell you about my Rome holidays. While choosing the destination for my late bday celebration suddenly Rome came into my mind. I`ve got 2 days to explore this ancient city, got in love with it`s narrow streets but be aware of the smarts driven here & there, don`t get under their wheels ha ha. Are you ready to follow my journey in Rome ? Let`s go!
One of the narrow streets of Rome close to Piazza Navona – my bday dinner – glass of wine with hamon & melon! Delicious!
Corte di Cassazione (The Hall of Justice) – very beautiful and ancient architectural building.
Castel Sant`Angelo (Castle of St.Angel) – old fortress, prison and now national museum.
Basilica di San Pietro (The St. Peter`s Cathedral) – is really beautiful.
The Swiss soldiers on guard at the gates of Vatican City – “Defenders of the Church’s freedom”. Make sure to visit Vatican, I didn`t go inside, was a looong queue but heard many wow comments from the tourists who visited. If you`ve already been there share with me in comments, thank you.
The St. Peter`s square is always full of tourists who sit on the ground, communicate and enjoy the antiquity.
Interesting windows in Rome.
Famous italian gelato – don`t forget to taste it!
Loved these trees so much.
Cool marketing trick!
Creative minds at the streets of Rome.
I can find greek pieces everywhere, btw got cool italian coffee for home.
The Spanish steps were closed for tourists so made a photo at the Fontana della Barcaccia instead.
Art corner in Rome – reminds me our Podil in Kyiv.
Mean of transportantion.
Meeting in the centre of Rome – “Carabinier” on guard.
Fountain di Trevi – throw the coin into the fountain to come back again.
I adore the buildings which bring you back into history.♥
The Capitol of Rome.
The Panthenon – greek vibes again.
The Panthenon inside was really amazing, very beautiful tiles, columns and wall-painting but a bit colder than outside in the street.
I`m so grateful to have this amazing eye-openning opportunity to travel around the world and to share my impressions, photos here on the blog. Travel is the best thing human could ever have as we meet eye to eye with other people, culturies, traditions and they are so different and sometimes so similar in the same time. Hope you enjoyed my 1st day Rome diary, please, share in comments.
